Orthodox Jeans

At last night’s dinner party, my orthodox friend came wearing the latest in Jeans fashion. True Religion jeans. Check them out. About $200 at Bloomingdales… And with that name, you can even try wearing them to shul. Certainly the Kabala center would accept them.

I found the juxtaposition of your 2 previous blog entires amusing.

1. Orthodox women wearing "True Religion" jeans. While they may look great in the web catalog, I wouldn't say they are for the classic modest "tzniut" Orthodox woman of today.

2. You blog about affluent Orthodox 21 year old's who shave their heards and wear a wig.

Do the shaved hair wig-wearers wear "True Religion" jeans? Sorry, but it boggles (bloggles?) the mind that your definitive "Orthodoxy" has such wide reaching differences. Unless of course, "True Religion" jeans are for moderdox women, and head shaving/wig wearing is for frumadox women.

These are not the same women, but they meet in the same house. You’re right of course about the frumadox and moderdox…

Why did you remove the post about the Sabbath dinner party?
